Sara Jenkins English specialises in training international business professionals. My mission is to empower non-native English speakers to communicate effectively in the global business environment.
I’ve been teaching English to speakers of a second or other language for over 25 years. I understand the challenges for each individual learner, creating and delivering bespoke programmes, ultimately helping learners achieve their goals for business and personal growth.
I know the world of learning the English language for international business.
I’m a fully qualified Business English language trainer (English UK CIBET (Certificate of International Business English Training); the University of Cambridge CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults).
My 25+ years of training experience include one year in France, one year in Japan on the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Programme, and one year at a Business English training centre in London.
My unique combination of training, linguistic, business and cultural skills, experience and knowledge lead me to stand out from other trainers.
As a native English speaker, I have learnt, to varying degrees, four different languages myself. I gained a BA Joint Honours degree in French and German from the University of Exeter. I achieved a GCSE Grade A in Spanish when at school, just for fun. Finally, I absolutely love trying to speak - and am still studying – Japanese.
Before becoming a Business English trainer, I spent over six years in the commercial world, including with Diageo. My final role was as Product Marketing Manager for Pret A Manger in London. I hold the Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketers).
I love experiencing different cultures and sharing this knowledge with my learners. This interest was well underway aged 13, when I first represented Great Britain at tennis. Today, I enjoy being an active member of the International Club of GB and an Honorary member of the International Club of Japan.
What I love the most though is seeing my learners progress, achieve their goals, and become more successful, more fulfilled and overall happier, as a result of their new and improved English. From feeling dissatisfied with their level of English, and that it is holding them back at work, I help my learners find a way to move forward in as an efficient and interesting – even fun – way as possible.
